Cal, the assistant inside NominalQC
Ask how any screen works, what is overdue, or what still blocks this CAPA from closing — and have it open the page for you. It reads your records under your own login and never changes one.
What you can do
- Answers how NominalQC works from the app’s own definitions — routes, fields, roles and permissions — so what it says matches the screen in front of you
- Looks up your records: what is overdue, which gauges are due, a record by number, part or keyword — only what your own login can see
- Knows which record you have open: “what is still missing before this CAPA can close?”, “which characteristics failed on this inspection?”, “who has not acknowledged this document?”
- Takes you there: “open the team settings”, “raise an NCR” — it opens the page or the new-record form, and you fill it in
- Drafts, labelled as drafts: ask for a 5-Why chain and it proposes one from the record’s facts and tells you where to enter it
- Read-only by design — it cannot create, edit or delete a record
- Says when it is not sure instead of guessing, and never states a number about your data without looking it up first
- Stuck? With your OK it passes the question to a person at NominalQC, in your own words, with the page you were on

Questions people ask
- Is our data used to train AI models?
- No. Questions and the records Cal reads are processed through Anthropic’s API under commercial terms that do not use them to train models, and they are never shared with another customer.
- Can Cal see another company’s records?
- No. Every lookup runs under your own login, through the same per-organization isolation as every screen in the app. If your role cannot open a record, neither can Cal.
- Can Cal change a record?
- No. It reads and it navigates. When you ask for a change it tells you where to make it, or opens that page for you.
